Application Fee: $625. Of this amount,
a non-refundable portion of $25 shall be due at the time a person
requests an application kit. Remainder of Application Fee due
at time of filing application. ($600 is to accompany application
after having pre-paid the required $25.)
Investigation Fee:
$225 - First-time applicant admitted
in another jurisdiction and
$175 Applicants admitted in another jurisdiction who reapply within one year and have previously paid $225 within that year.

Late Filing:
$250 additional filing fee due at time of filing application. See
Rule 4.10 (3). Note: No late applications will be accepted after
May 30. The late applications and
all fees must be received by the office of the Board of
Bar Examiners on or before May 30, in order to
be considered by the Board. (See Rule 4.05(3), No Late Applications Will Be Accepted After the Dates Specified. Regardless
Of Cause.)

Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination
Your attention is drawn to Rule 7.05 regarding
the Professional Responsibility Examination. (MPRE). Each applicant
must pass the Professional Responsibility Examination as well
as the Bar Exam prior to admission. The Oregon Bar Exam and the
MPRE must be passed within 24 months of each other. Applicants must receive a scaled score of 85 or more to pass the MPRE.
Applicant Must Be Recommended For Admission
Rule 6.15Applicant must be recommended
by a majority of the Board of Bar Examiners. Subject to review
by the Supreme Court, an applicant may not be admitted to the
practice of law in Oregon unless at least a majority of all non-recused members of the Board considers the applicant to be qualified by age and by the requisite moral character, fitness, learning and abilty.
